Be.EV and the EV Revolution

TSCS has been retained by Manchester-based Be.EV to help it grow its share of the market in publicly accessible Electric Vehicle chargers. Already the market leaders in Greater Manchester, with nearly 200 units in operation there, Be.EV is set to expand across the north of England and nationally to meet the burgeoning demand for fast, ultra-rapid and rapid chargers.

Interest from large public sector organisations like universities, hospitals and local councils is extremely high and national retail chains, hotel groups and pubs companies are also among the early adopters.

Unusually for a comparatively young business, capital is not a major issue. After its own successful early funding rounds, Be.EV has secured investment from Octopus Energy worth up to £110 million and this enables it to de-risk the entire exercise for its clients.

Be.EV will meet all of the capital expenditure including bringing power to sites that need them. We will pay for the chargers and the cost of installation, maintenance and management. With this model, we only see a return on our investment by ensuring that the chargers are operational and reliable and we have invested heavily in engineering partners and back-up staff to ensure as close to 100% dependability as possible.
